Join On Tap Beer Tours on a Brewery and Hop Farm educational experience. Learn what it takes to produce hops for the micro-brew industry while enjoying free local craft beer provided by On Tap. This is perfect for individuals or small groups. Our Brewery/Hop Farm seminar is held every other Sunday through August. Space is limited and the seats are selling quickly.
We will be visiting Warm Spring Wind Hop Farm on a gentle sloping hillside in west Sonoma County. This hop farm uses adaptive growing methods and permaculture principles to provide quality hops and cider apples while respecting the land and minimizing environmental impact. You will have the opportunity to walk through the hop farm fields with a refreshing beverage in your hand while learning about the hops. Mike Stevenson, the very knowledgeable owner/operator of the farm, will be there to share and answer any and all questions you might have.
After refilling your cups, we will be headed off to two separate breweries where you will learn about the brewing process from a behind the scenes perspective.
This tour usually takes about 5 hours and is a great way to meet up with other beer fans and aficionados.
Our pick-up and drop off location is at Brew in downtown Santa Rosa. It is easily accessible through public transportation and also has plenty of public parking. You should not plan on driving after this tour.
